Abstract

The insistent need for analysing the activities and methodological musical works, for music departments students, is one reason prompting the necessity for such study, Chapter one includes : the first aim for the study, in chapter one, is: hypothesizing a standard for analysing the musical characteristics to developing the musical taste for music departments students in Fine Arts Institutes for boys – evening studies in Iraq. The second aim is: applying the analytical standard. Chapter two includes concepts of ( aesthetic episode, musical taste, musical taste levels, and The aesthetic and artistic characteristics of musical activities ). Whereas, chapter three covers the steps of the analytical standard and its samples. Finally, chapter four comprises the following results: 1- Results of the first aim: shaped in the procedures the researcher followed in chapter three. 2- Results of achieving the second aim: recognising the student's marks ranging between ( 80-95 ) in applying the standard analysing the basic musical characteristics to developing the musical taste mood. Conclusion: the analytical standard ensures the connection with the scientific experience gained by the students, giving them the opportunity to apply these standards in real educational approaches in their school life. Recommendation: the researcher recommends adopting this standard used for analysing the musical characteristics for musical taste, applied to samples of third, fourth and fifth students, music departments - Fine Arts Institutes – evening studies, as proved efficient and successful. Suggestions: the researchers suggests a study evaluating the musical taste curriculum in Arts education departments in Iraqi's universities.
