Abstract
A new approach is proposed for clutter suppression in airborne phased radar. It is based on data transformation both in space and time. This transformation can be implemented by separate spatial and temporal filtering. Optimal detection is carried out for the transformed data which has a reduced size. Thus, significant computation costs are saved. Simulations show that the new space-time transformation approach approximates well the optimal receiver, and can combat array errors and clutter fluctuations. >
