Abstract

It is shown that a so-called triglycine phosphate (TGP) crystal claimed as new crystal by Meera et al. (J. Mol. Struct. 1144 (2017) 457–465) is not what the authors formulated. Based on reported unit cell parameters, powder X-ray diffraction pattern and infrared spectrum, it is proved that the so-called TGP, in fact, is glycine (alpha or gamma form). The determination of the crystal structure of the obtained crystal would allow the authors to avoid the error made.
