Abstract
Lycopodites hannahensis described here illuminates an episode in Wealden geology and though based on material from one locality, Philpots Quarry, is certainly more widespread. When better understood it should have botanical interest because the plant is unlike anything known. The abundant specimens preserved in their position of growth show the 3-dimensional form of much of the plant but fine details are so ill-preserved that I can only guess the nature of its parts and its way of life. I guess vigorously in the hope of arousing critical reappraisal.
