Abstract

A sixth-order high-temperature superconducting (HTS) balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with switchable selectivity and stopband is proposed in this paper. Base on the use of asymmetric coupled stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs), the upper differential-mode (DM) stopband can be extended, and high common-mode (CM) suppression can be performed within passband. High selectivity is acquired for the use of high-order structure and cross coupling to introduce transmission zeros (TZs). The configuration utilizing switchable cross coupling is eventually employed to perform either Elliptic response with steep band edge or Chebyshev response with deeper and wider DM and CM stopband. The circuit is simulated by fullwave simulator within superconducting parameters. High quality factor, wide stopband, and low insertion loss can be obtained from the simulation in the implemented switched circuit.
