Abstract
Because of the widely used in gas sensor and light emitting diodes, zinc oxide nano structures have attract more attention. In our article, The ZnO nanorods were prepared via a simple chemical vapor deposition method on sapphire substrate. The morphology of the nanorods were characterized by SEM which told that the zinc oxide nanorods were deposited with nonuniform but have a great hexagonal structure and the XRD pattern emerged a strong ZnO (002) peak that reveals that the zinc oxide nanorods were grow up along the c-axis, meanwhile the 002 peak is shift to the higher 2θ degree which may have relation with the defect.
