Abstract
A simple chemical displacement method is used for the conversion of thin films of CdS into Ag 2S and CdSe into Ag 2Se. Thin films of CdS and CdSe were prepared by a chemical deposition method onto glass and stainless steel substrates. These films were dipped in AgNO 3 solution to convert them into Ag 2S and Ag 2Se films. Their structural, electrical and optical properties have been studied.
