Abstract

Abstract A Simple magnetometer is described which can detect changes in the magnetic moment of a sample as small as 3x10−9 J/T, in applied magnetic fields up to 8 T. The sensitivity for volume-susceptibility, Δχ = 10−8 (MKSA), is better than the reported performance of conventional magnetometers.
