Abstract
We report the development of a piezoelectrically driven rotator for use in high magnetic fields at low temperatures. This rotator, controllable with two lead wires instead of a driving shaft, is designed to fit into a narrow sample space with a diameter of 13 mm and is capable of making rotations with a high angular resolution of ∼0.01° in magnetic fields reaching 33 T. In addition, estimated heat dissipation of less than 100 μW accompanied by rotation allows continuous rotations in a dilution refrigerator (T<100 mK).
