Abstract
The local non-adiabatic dynamics near an accidental degeneracyof Σ+ = Π type in a linear triatomic system hasbeen investigated in the context of the semiclassicalapproximation. An exact analytical solution of thetime-dependent semiclassical equations has been found forrectilinear trajectories of the bending (π) vibrationalmodes. The S-matrix and transition probabilities associated withthis three-state problem, which have a non-Landau-Zenercharacter, have been defined in analytical terms. Theexpressions obtained for the transition probabilities may beuseful in the context of the trajectory surface hopping method.
