Abstract

AbstractA scrub typhus vector, Leptotrombidium deliense, is reported from Litchfield Park in the Northern Territory. A small mammal trapping survey in areas of the park visited by two confirmed cases of scrub typhus showed a high prevalence of L. deliense in the three native rat species Rattus tunneyi (Thomas), R. colletti (Thomas) and Melomys burtoni (Ramsay).
