Abstract

DR. MAY SEAGOE is professor of education at the University of California at Los Angeles. She is the author of more than forty articles and several research studies of greater length in her own field. Her interest in the field of children's entertainment dates back to one of her earliest studies, before the era of the Payne Fund studies, on The Child's Reaction to the Movies. May Seagoe served as leader of the Workshop on Psychological Aspects of the Child Audience,of the Children's Theater Convention of the American Educational Theater Association held on the Los Angeles campus of the University of California in the summer of 1951.
