Abstract

For a modern aircraft, a robust longitudinal adaptive command augmentation system (CAS), which contains primary artificial intelligence functions, self-learning functions and cautious control functions, combines the parameter-adaptive control approach together with the gain-scheduling technique and introduces the new concept of region pole-assignment and a new method of providing the initial values or parameters to be estimated. Digital simulation results and real time digital analog hybrid simulation results are presented. >
