Abstract
It is well known that deep ultraviolet wavelengths can be produced using neon copper lasers. This laser has a wavelength of 248 nm. Another notable characteristic of this laser is its small oscillation line widths with less than 3GHz. Raman spectroscopy with fluorescence suppression works best with such narrow oscillations. The pumping source is electric discharge. Copper vapor in neon gas serves as the buffer for the lasing medium. [22]
