Abstract

This paper is focused on polymer impregnated concrete and properties of steel wire mesh for ferrocement it is a combination of mesh and cement mortar. In polymer impregnated concrete low viscosity monomer is introduced on the surface of hardened concrete. In denser concrete the void 5% and in gap-graded concrete consider up to 15% by this void while curing the water is filled in the void while applying monomer in the concrete will affect the monomer to produce PIC. So, concrete should be heated and dried by this process water gets evaporated & concrete is dipped in monomer for socking it will take five to six hours and for polymerization heat the concrete to produce PIC. In other parts studying the ferrocement to improve the tensile strength of the concrete. This paper recaps the experimental study in polymer impregnated concrete and ferrocement and cracks patterns in concrete review and research carried out to select the monomers, methodology, PIC casting process, impact on concrete & result obtained the structural, chemical, and mechanical property.
