Abstract

Synthetic fibers were replaced with natural fibers in the composite world because natural fibers are greater motivational to researchers concerning environmental problems. Meanwhile, the natural fibers are not much effective in thermal and mechanical properties, which lead to limit the applications in a particular field. To pick up in thermal and mechanical properties of natural-based fiber composites, researchers suggested going with hybridizing with natural to natural or natural to synthetic fiber composites. By hybridizing, composites are more friendly towards environmental issues and reliable. In this review paper, we discussed some recently published research papers related to different natural fibers, banyan aerial root fiber-based composites and banana fibers, includes the consequences of fiber treatment, orientation, and size, etc. on mechanical properties of composites.
