Abstract

Welding is one among the most popular industrial production techniques. The traditional welding procedure has several disadvantages, such as increased energy consumption, longer melting periods and low heat transfer rate. Innovative welding processes are being developed to alleviate the shortcomings of traditional welding methods. Recently, a revolutionary method called microwave joining has emerged. It may be used to treat a diverse variety of materials, including metal matrix composites, polymers, alloys, ceramics, metals, powder metallurgy, material joining, coatings and claddings. This research explored the introduction of microwave welding with hybrid technology and contributions from other researchers, which shed light on numerous research prospects in the field of microwave welding. The welding setup, the technique, and step-by-step welding operation were all thoroughly addressed. Finally, Conclusions were discussed, as well as future recommendations.
