Abstract

The main focus of this review is to evaluate and discuss articles related to English vocabulary teaching and learning in computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and mobile-assisted language learning (MALL). The articles serve as the primary data source. After reviewing the titles and abstracts, selected articles will be included in this review paper. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the effectiveness of computer-assisted and mobile-assisted language learning to teach vocabulary in English language classrooms. The methodology followed in this paper is to review the studies based on the topics related to the effectiveness of CALL and MALL in developing vocabulary learning and retention through sustainable English language classrooms. The articles for review were selected from search engines and open-access databases. The present study adopts the review method to evaluate studies from 2015 to 2021. Finally, articles will be selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
