Abstract
It is difficult for microgrids in remote rural areas to meet the high reliability requirements of customer power supply. On the basis of the existing mature microgrid control technology, it is of great practical significance to make accurate prediction of source-load power and microgrid state to evaluate the reliable operation of microgrid for the characteristics of microgrid in remote rural areas. Firstly, this paper analyzes the source-load prediction methods accounting for uncertainty from the short and medium- long term perspectives, and describes the current microgrid high reliability operation technology based on state estimation in remote rural areas. Secondly, we summarize the current microgrid state prediction methods from four aspects: situational awareness, situational element acquisition, situation understanding and situation prediction technology. Then, in view of the problems of unreasonable grid structure planning, low ring rate of rural distribution network, and poor transfer capability of the grid in rural areas of China, the research on the reliability operation assessment of remote rural grids in China is sorted out from three aspects: the current situation of rural microgrids, power supply reliability assessment indexes of rural grids, and reliability operation assessment methods of rural grids. Finally, the potential research directions of the research on high reliability operation technology and assessment technology of microgrids in remote rural areas are discussed.
