Abstract

Big data has shown the great potential in optimizing data, making decisions, spotting business trends in various fields such as manufacturing, finance and Information Technology. Applications of big data are dominating the conventional databases and providing more reliable and scalable services to the users, market researchers, data analysts and investors without losing the “4V” (i.e. Volume, Velocity, Variety and Veracity) characteristics. Despite of its usefulness, this domain is encountering some issues in context of privacy, data management, and network & energy management. This review paper focuses on the various findings such as developed approaches/ techniques related to privacy, data storage management and network & energy consumption in big data environment. This paper also highlights various challenges occur in the Big Data Environment.
