Abstract
Doughnut Economics questions the severe environmental degradation that humans have allowed in the name of economic prosperity. This paper will look into the important role of doughnut economics to tackle the existing problems of economic growth. In the traditional model of a diagrammatic doughnut representation, Raworth believes that the contemporary model of economics should focus on building a social foundation where no one falls into the hole in the middle of the doughnut.
