Abstract
A refined theory of vibrations of a multilayer orthotropic cylindrical shell based on the method of hypotheses [1, 2] and an expansion of the normal displacement in series in terms of the thickness of the shell [3] is considered. The fact that the results are intended to be used in practical structures determines the set of selected hypotheses.
