Abstract

A new signal restoration method, using a class of non-linear moving window filters (C filters), is carried out. The reconvolution method introduces a new minimize function which optimizes the convergence better than the quadratic one. The main goal is treatment of weak-amplitude emission lines. We applied the method to a Lorentzian line shape which characterizes the Stark broadening of emission lines in a laser-produced plasma. Moreover, the weak self-absorption line in optically dense plasmas can be detected and estimated for the first time.
