Abstract
In this paper an experimental kernel for safety critical systems is presented. The kernel supports both executions of safety critical time driven tasks and non safety critical event driven tasks. The kernel guarantees that non-critical tasks not disturb the execution of critical tasks. The execution of critical tasks are schedule off-line and scheduling of noncritical tasks on-line. The communication between critical tasks and non-critical and critical tasks is discussed. Various configurations of the kernel are discussed and classified according to testability.
