Abstract

We present a case of a patient presenting with a lesion consistent with a mucocoele on the lower labial mucosa, which upon biopsy instead revealed a rare anomaly called a ‘calibre persistent artery’. The aim of this article is to bring this rarely reported lesion to the attention of clinicians, and to emphasise the importance of correct assessment of a lump.
