Abstract

Abstract Fruit of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) and sterile seed of beet (Beta vulgaris L.) were placed on soil infested with Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn after treatment with soil-applied fungicides. Several fungicides gave acceptable fruit rot control 7 days after spraying on soil surface but none gave acceptable control after 13, 21, or 29 days. In general, the percent of beet seed infested with Rhizoctonia increased 13, 21, and 29 days after spraying.
