Abstract

The article aims to demonstrate how the STF appropriates a financial discourse to prevent the recalculation of the pensions of workers who, even retired, remained in work activity. For that, we analyzed the Extraordinary Appeal n. 661,256 / SC, with the following question as the guiding factor of the research: the reasoning used by the STF in the aforementioned Extraordinary Appeal to prevent the recalculation of the pensions of workers who, even retired, remain in activity, is based on a discourse of violence symbolic The hypothesis formulated in the investigation and, at the end of the trial, confirmed is that the decision of the Federal Supreme Court, in producing a financial statement, without factual evidence in the case, denying the reappointment for lack of public resources, framed in the conceptualization of symbolic violence formulated by Jesse Souza. The methodology used was that of bibliographic review.
