Abstract
We point out that the q-deformed quantum oscillator, with q = exp 2 π i/k, k being an integer, and the quantum mechanical system consisting of a charge moving on a k-point discretized circle, around a shielded magnetic flux φ = π 2 ( k+2) , have identical spectra.
