Abstract
We point out that the q-deformed quantum oscillator, with q=exp(2 πi/ k), k being an integer, and the quantum mechanical system consisting of a charge moving on a k-point discretized circle, around a shielded magnetic flux Φ= 1 2 π(k+2) , have identical spectra.
