Abstract

The Personnel and Guidance JournalVolume 54, Issue 2 p. 102-105 A Pupil Relationship Enhancement Program Eric J. Hatch, Eric J. Hatch Eric J. Hatch: (left) is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and also consults with several school districts. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for the Development of Emotional and Life Skills (IDEALS), an organization that conducts training programs for professional and lay groups in structured communications models. He has published several articles on humanistic education and, along with colleagues, plans to conduct workshops in the PREP program described in this article. Bernard Guerney, Jr. (right), Professor of Human Development at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, is also Head of the Individual and Family Consultation Center at Penn State and President of IDEALS. He has edited or authored numerous books and articles in the fields of psychology and psychotherapy, and he spearheads much ongoing research regarding the efficacy of various educational training models.
