Abstract

All dielectric materials are classified into three categories—low, medium and high loss materials on the basis of an analysis of most of the reported dielectric data. In the microwave frequency range, a low loss material should be defined as a material with its tan δ ≤ 50 x 10-4, a high loss with tan δ > 0.1 and a medium loss with 50 x 10-4 < tan δ ≤ 1000 x 10-4.
