Abstract

A method for the reduction of hysteresis in discriminators is proposed. The application of this method in the case of a Schmitt trigger circuit is demonstrated and it is shown that a two order of magnitude hysteresis reduction is easily obtained. Because of its general form, it is felt that this method of hysteresis reduction might be applied to a variety of discriminator types.
