Abstract
The linearized dynamical equations of a spinning non-rigid spacecraft in which a model representation is used for deformations are recalled at first. Then, considering a selected stationary deformed state, a property of modal convergence associated with the spacecraft deformation energy is given. Lastly, an example concerning a spinning spacecraft with flexible antennas is examined; it shows how this convergence property may be applied as a model truncation criterion.
