Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper introduces a production planning system for standard product of IC design house. Under the capacity constraint, the system provides an ideal schedule about releasing and finishing time for each outsourcing plant, namely production plan. It serves a reference for the coordination between production and sale department. In addition, the system also provides a schedule about ATP (Available-To-Promise) to customers. The system includes four phases: demand planning, supply planning, coordination of production and sale, and the calculation of ATP. It tries to integrate marketing plan, product structure and inventory information, and generates schedule of ATP. In the demand planning phase, a linear programming model is used to deal with the characteristic of IC binning. In the supply planning phase, a mixed integer programming model, considering the general model proposed by Hackman and Leachmana and the characteristic of production scheduling of IC design house, has been proposed to solve the production assignment and scheduling of outsourcing factories.
