A practical use of expert system "AI-Q" focused on creating training data

Abstract

Recently, we entered the 3rd Artificial Intelligence (AI) boom, and expert systems are attracting attention once again due to the emergence of IBM Watson. To apply expert systems, it is necessary to create and input a large amount of training data. However, creation of training data is difficult because the notation variability of the Japanese language is remarkably high. In the National Institution of Technology, Ariake College, the endowed Chair of Business in Artificial Intelligence Field (Kimura Information Technology) has been established in 2017, to conduct human resources development and cooperative research. In this paper, we describe the efforts of the endowed chair, and give the definition of high-level engineers proficient in AI In particular, we present an example of utilization of the expert system AI-Q focused on the creation of training data.
