Abstract
MANY COMPLICATIONS FROM central venous catheterization have been reported after the internal jugular vein approach. The authors report a posterior mediastinal hematoma after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, which was assumed to be caused by malpositioning of the internal jugular catheter or guidewire into the azygos venous system.
