Abstract

This article describes a portable, general purpose, high-speed cathode-ray oscillograph developed from the original model of Prime and Ravenhill. An asymmetrical thyratron time base is used to give sweep speeds from 2 × 10-7 to 10- sec on a cathode-ray oscillograph. The time base can be operated single sweep or repetitively at frequencies up to 500 c/s. A simple calibrating circuit is built into the time base.
