Abstract
The integral equation leading to the perturbative vacuum singularity (Lipatov pomeron) intercept in quantum chromodynamics is modified by replacing the massless gluon propagator by diverse expressions motivated by the inclusion of non-perturbative effects. It is found that with suitable values of the parameters in the modified gluon propagator it is possible to obtain a pomeron intercept equal to that of the usual non-perturbative one.
