Abstract
The detection and removal of artefact from the recorded biosignals is challenging. The detection and localisation of different types of artefact that may be present in a single-channel biosignal is an important step before their removing. In this work, a new algorithm for semiautomatic detection and localisation of artefacts is proposed. This algorithm is based on phase space approach. The originality of our algorithm lies in the fact that it is not limited to one type of artefact but to any artefact characterized by sudden changes with regard to the biosignal of interest. The algorithm was successfully validated on simulated and real-world biosignals contaminated by various types of artefacts.Keywordsartefact detectionartefact removingsignal processingphase space
