A peer-to-peer storage system design

Abstract

Storage technology, Peer-to-Peer network technology, Peer-to-Peer storage system and other related technologies are discussed. A peer-to-peer storage system is built by using peer-to-peer network technology combined with the hard disk capacity on the network nodes. It uses file segmentation technology to increase the utilization rate of storage space, and parity check code and Reed Solomon code files Fault-tolerant technology to greatly improve the availability of files. File availability is the key index of the system, which is mainly affected by the number of file partitions, backup methods, fault tolerance and other parameters. In this Peer-to-Peer storage architecture, storage device hosts can achieve mutual backup effects, thereby improving the reliability of the system.
