Abstract

Keywords Motorfunctiontest.ITapplication.Tele-rehabilitation.GamingWe are presenting a stimulus delivery and experimentalcontrol program that could be used for periodic monitoringof motor function following medical intervention. The ap-plication, initially developed to interface with multipleTranscranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) units for motorcontrol experiments, uses a pointing task with multiplelevels of difficulty to provide a motor challenge to subjects. The software is optimized to acquire time and performancemeasures; task difficulty can be finely adjusted to individualperformance, which suggests possible use in adults andchildren with motor disabilities.Recently, computer games, virtual reality technolo-gies, and robotic arms have been proposed as rehabili-tation tools. Virtual reality (VR), has been applied tovarious areas of health sciences.
