Abstract
A 1-D metal-organic framework, [Pb(L-NO2)2·H2O]n, denoted as complex 1, was synthesized by coordination self-assembly of PbII and 5-nitronicotinic acid (HL-NO2). The resultant sample was investigated by using single crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and fluorescence. Due to its fluorescence property, 1 is a bi-functional fluorescence sensor for Fe3+ and detecting temperature. In addition, 1 possesses good stability and recyclability.
