Abstract

The obtained RGO/BiVO4 composites were first applied to tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) photoelectrochemical (PEC) monitoring platform. The RGO/BiVO4 nanocomposites exhibited higher PEC activity, which benefited from the accelerated electron transfer induced by loading of RGO. The RGO/BiVO4 electrode exhibited a linear response in the concentration range of 0.1 μM – 1 mM with a sensitivity of 45 μA mM cm−2 and a detection limit of 0.922 μM. Furthermore, the designed RGO/BiVO4 PEC sensor exhibits good reproducibility, long-term stability and selectivity. In summary, the designed materials have outstanding electrochemical properties, which provide ideal candidates for PEC detection of TCH.
