Abstract

Lens is an effective antenna solution, the radiation pattern of the antenna can be enhanced through the dielectric lens, the lens antennas tend to be directive rather than omnidirectional that is. However, in this article, a monopole antenna integrated within a three dimensional printing mushroom shape lens and pasted the copper foil on the part of the surface of lens is proposed for wireless electromagnetic energy harvesting system at 5.8 GHz to the realization of a wide beam antenna. The bandwidth is from 5.33 to 6.07 GHz with the reflection coefficient below −10 dB. The half power beamwidth is 197° in x-z plane and 175° in y-z plane, respectively. And the peak gain is 2.47 dBi. Simulation results agree well with measured results.
