Abstract

Due to the recent evolution of three dimension (3-D) printing technology, researchers can fabricate affordable and versatile antennas to adapt with fast advance in RF systems. Multiband and wideband antennas are desirable in communication systems, therefore in this paper, a circular shape antenna is proposed using 3D-Printing method. The circular antenna is matched using stubs on perimeter of the circular disk. The 3-DP multicircular technique is carried out in PLA substrate only as a novel manner to get a multiband. The two models of antenna are designed to operate for Bluetooth, WLAN, Wi-MAX and S, C bands applications. Modeling and simulations are performed by ansoft high frequency structure simulator (HFSS). The operating frequency of the antenna is taken as 2.4 GHz. The entire size of each model is $61.08\times 43.6\times 3 \text{mm}^{3}$ and the measured S-parameters results of 3D-P multiband antenna are analyzed with ZVB20 vector network analyzer to assure the proposed antenna performance agreement with the requirements of wireless applications.
