Abstract
ABSTRACT A novel method for assessing the seismic resilience of railway stations is introduced. With this method, a railway station is divided into five constituent systems. The structural components, nonstructural components, and especially professional equipment that affect the functions in each system are identified and analyzed. Significantly, a new calculation method for seismic resilience indices, encompassing repair cost, repair time, casualties, and resilience grade, is proposed. Additionally, the complete seismic resilience assessment process is outlined. Furthermore, a case study was conducted on a typical railway station in China to demonstrate the application of this new seismic resilience assessment method.
