Abstract

AbstractA new method for the spectrophotometric determination of triglycerides at microgram levels has been developed. The method relies on the quantitative degradation ofO‐acyl lipids with hydrazine and the subsequent conversion of the fatty acid hydrazides to the correspondingN′‐isopropylidenealkanohydrazides by reaction with acetone. Results are presented for triolein and some oils of plant origin.
