Abstract
The objective of the research work is to propose a Novel Method for Modeling, Simulation and Design analysis of a Self-Excited Induction Machine for Wind Power Generation (SEIMWPG). The earlier models of such generators are facing huge mechanical losses, due to wear and tear in the tightly coupled mechanical gear systems and could not provide maximum efficiency. In this paper, the self-excited induction machine based wind electric generator design has been presented, it is possible to get maximum power with the variation of the mutual inductance of the stator and rotor windings, irrespective of the variation of wind velocities. The complete system is modeled and simulated in the MATLAB / SIMULINK environment.
