Abstract

A novel three-dimensional ant-type metal–organic framework, [Na0.5CoL(OH)0.5(H2O)]·G (1) (L=5-(pyridin-4-yl)isophthalic acid, G=guest molecules), has been designed and synthesized. Singe crystal of 1 was characterized by X-ray single crystal analysis and power X-ray diffraction methods. Network analysis reveals that 1 is a two-nodal (3, 6)-connected (42.6)2(44.62.88.10). Additionally, the permanent porosity of 1 was confirmed by N2 gas adsorption investigation with the BET specific surface area of 477m2g−1. At 1bar, 1 exhibits hydrogen adsorption amount of 1.08wt% at 77K and CO2 uptakes of 13.7wt% at 273K, respectively.
