Abstract
Abstract A new maleic anhydride derivative 1 (FR222398) was isolated from fermentations with the fungus Talaromyces sp. No. 10092. The structure of 1 was determined based on spectroscopic analysis and chemical conversion. The sodium salt of 1 exhibited a dispersant activity toward kaolin suspension.
